As with all positions available with JSO, we hire only ethical people who feel a strong calling to serve the community. Requirements and the application process are dependent upon the position an applicant is pursuing. Educational requirements range from no diploma necessary, a minimum of two years customer service, a bachelor’s degree, or nine years of experience or a combination of education and experience.
The following areas may result in applicants being suspended from the hiring process: credit history including bankruptcy and collections; past drug use; inappropriate social media; driving history, work history; criminal activity and associations with known criminals; and inappropriate tattoos.
