JSO's Recruitment and Selection Officers will be hosting a Hiring Expo on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The event will take place at the
Northeast Florida Criminal Justice Training Facility located at 4715 Capper Road.
At the expo, citizens will be able to speak with recruiters about various careers available at the agency including opportunities to become a Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Community Service Officer, and 9-1-1 Dispatcher (also known as a Police Emergency Communications Officer).
Also at the April 6th event:
- Opportunities to interact with current Police Officers, Corrections Officers, Community Services Officers, Police Emergency Communications Officer and various other agency unit representatives. Learn about their jobs and what it takes to Join JSO!
- Apply for jobs on-site.
- Complete the first phase of the hiring process for 2019 classes. This includes taking the Physical Abilities Test, completing a writing sample, and a polygraph questionnaire. Citizens who plan to apply are encouraged to bring athletic wear with them to the Expo.
- Participate in a Shoot / Don't Shoot Scenario Virtual Training with JSO Academy Staff.
