On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and First Coast Crime Stoppers announced that the Gun Bounty marketing campaign will be featured throughout Duval County for a third time.
In 2006, JSO launched the Gun Bounty program with a focus on getting illegal guns off the street and arresting the people who carry and use them. Then in 2013, JSO and its community partners announced the return of the marketing campaign throughout the city.
The campaign’s iconic tagline of
“See It, Say It, Stop It” from the original launch has evolved into a new alliteration of
“Spot 1. Stop 1.” The premise of the campaign remains the same, as tips are anonymously submitted through First Coast Crime Stoppers and should the tip lead to the recovery of a gun and an arrest, the tipster will receive $1,000. Since the Gun Bounty Program launched, it has paid out $259,000 in rewards with 441 guns recovered and 373 arrests made.
All Gun Bounty tips are 100% anonymous and should be reported to First Coast Crime Stoppers (not affiliated with JSO). Tips can be reported by calling
