Each year the second full week of April is designated as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to recognize the men and women who serve as a vital part of JSO’s day-to-day operations. These Police Emergency Communications Officers, who serve in a civilian role,
are the “lifeline between people in need and our first responders.”
They are there to answer the call, day and night, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
