Cold Case Spotlight: Joe D. Harrell
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues to seek justice for crime victims and their loved ones, both past and present. This month's "Cold Case Spotlight" is on 25-year-old Joe Denard Harrell (black / male).
On Saturday, January 21, 2006, between the hours of 11 p.m. and midnight, officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3200 block of Silver Street. Upon arrival, officers located the deceased victim in the driveway of the residence. An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office concluded Harrell’s death was a homicide.
Homicide and Crime Scene Detectives who responded to the scene took on the daunting task of collecting and examining the available evidence – and continued following up leads extensively following the crime.
