Earlier this week, representatives from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, City of Jacksonville, the State Attorney's Office, and regional criminal justice agencies joined with the CEOs from three local domestic violence shelters to hold a news conference reaffirming their
commitment to ending domestic violence.
“Domestic Violence has no boundaries and early intervention can prevent escalation. So, no matter if the abuse is physical, emotional, sexual, or economic related, know this… your life matters and we are here for you," said Jackson Short, Director of Investigations and Homeland Security for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
