On Monday, August 15, 2022, members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office along with local sponsors, Availity and VyStar, unveiled JSO's Mobile Gaming Unit.
This engagement tool is just another way to help the men and women of JSO reach more audiences in the Jacksonville community.
The announcement came just hours after Duval County Schools started the 2022-2023 school year and was a welcomed addition to the Back-to-School events at Pace Center for Girls on Monday afternoon. Pace students had the opportunity to test out the gaming truck after Deloris O’Neal, the Director of the Department of Police Services with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, explained the concept and how this tool will be deployed in the future. She explained that officers will bring the truck to various parks and neighborhoods where members of the community can play games and interact with officers.
