Jacksonville Neighborhoods to Participate in 36th Annual National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, as part of the annual National Night Out, neighbors across the nation will come together to show their support in the fight against crime in their neighborhoods.
JSO respresentatives will visit many of the neighborhood events planned throughout Jacksonville in support of this national initiative.
Each neighborhood event varies from a small social gathering at a neighbor's house, to a block party or ice cream social. The goal is to help strengthen neighborhoods, increase awareness about the importance of crime prevention and reporting and reinforce police/neighborhood relationships.
This year marks the 33rd year that JSO and Jacksonville citizens have participated in this event and this is the 36th year for the national intiative known as National Night Out.
