On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, neighbors came together throughout Jacksonville to participate in National Night Out.
The goal is to help strengthen neighborhoods, increase awareness about the importance of crime prevention and reporting, and reinforce police / neighborhood relationships.
This year's events ranged from neighbors leaving their porch lights on to show their solidarity in the fight against crime to neighborhood gatherings.
Sheriff Pat Ivey, members of his appointed staff and officers from all six patrol zones stopped by many of the planned neighborhood events throughout the city to thank citizens for their partnership in the fight against crime.
The 2023 event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
