JSO Releases Information Concerning Officer Involved Incident on December 13th
January 21, 2025 - On Friday, December 13, 2024, Police Officer S. Lowry conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Jason Arrington, after the vehicle was observed running a red light.  Officers A. Weippert and M. Cardwell responded to assist on the traffic stop.

Jacksonville Records Lowest Murders in 20+ Years
January 10, 2025 - Jacksonville recorded 59 murders in 2024, the fewest since at least 1995. This figure is less than half the number of murders reported in 2023.
